I see the same problem with my powerbook. It's keeping me from performing a 'fink update-all'. I don't want to install an editor that I won't use to satisfy a dependency. What reason can there be for including emacs as a dependency?
Any body know any work-arounds?
install or choose the emacsen-common package. You don't get emacs, just the places to put emacs bits for autoconf.
