Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if xCode 1.5 contains any changes to x11 SDK? I installed 1.5, but I forgot to install the x11 SDK that came as part of that package.
I think it fixes some bugs in some of the text files (#pragma GCC debug...) that make startx, xmkmf, imake etc crash. There may be other changes, but I don't think they are important.
The broader question is, I suppose, of the packages that are not installed by default during xCode installation, which ones should we install in order to make fink a better experience?
I think the idea for everything on the developer tools disk should be: If you are not absolutely sure that you do not need it, install it. *Everything*.
And anyway, if you are serious about using your computer, you should *never* choose the default ("easy") installation, always choose the personalized installation.
I understand Apple's attitude to take the majority of their users for idiots, but I cannot understand why they extend this attitude to those who install the developer tools. But there you are.
