Regarding our stable tree, we need positive feedback about a package before we move it to stable. So if you find a package in unstable that works well but is not in stable, please tell the maintainer or let us know on fink-devel.
Thanks again, I'll remember the point. Regarding this particular package, as I said, I installed the version the ImageMagick folks were calling stable, thus your comments don't apply, exactly. (I did offer positive feedback regarding the 6.06 version, though.) If 6.0.7-1 works for me, I'll certainly feed that back to the list.
