cvs updating was not broken. That's how I got out of that jam. I updated via cvs to 0.22.1, then switched back to rsync.

Hello,

usually "fink selfupdate; fink update-all" was finding some packages to
update from time to time. (I have installed 478 packages.) However,
since several weeks now, fink is not finding anything to update.

Selfupdate (rsync) is running without error message. I think it is very
unlikely that none of the packages I have installed was updated for
weeks, since I usually had updates several times a week.

Any idea where the problem might be?

This is my version:
Package manager version: 0.22.0

<snip>

This has been mentioned on the lists several times recently: 0.22.0 broke selfupdating via rsync. I'm not sure if CVS updating was affected (you might try it and let me know!)

If CVS updating doesn't work, you'll need to downgrade to an earlier version of the fink package (e.g. see if one is available in /sw/fink/debs on your machine), and then you'll be able to selfupdate to the new version.
