Hello all,
I have been forced to nuke Fink off of my computer to then reinstall it; anyways, I do not plan on installing all of the same software on this machine and have noticed that going through the NetInfo Manager that all of the groups and users that Fink created were left in there; does anyone have a good way to get rid of all these (or to be able to tell which ones were for Fink and which ones were from OS X)? Thanks.
Basically those with numbers between 250 and 300 were from Fink, but there are some with numbers between 26 and 79 that may or may not have existed on your system before and been duplicated by Fink, so it is probably best to leave them alone.
You can look at the package description at
http://bindist.finkmirrors.net/bindist/dists/10.3/release/main/finkinfo/base/passwd.patch
to see what the current stable version of passwd is installing. If you had an older version of Fink installed, you can find all versions of that package description on Fink's CVS server, accessible via cvsweb from the Fink home page.
