Greetings!

I'm trying once again to get Kmail installed via fink to work. The problem is
that when I try to send mail the SMTP server returns an error "HELO requires
domain address". I've telnetted to the SMTP server and I confirm that if I
try a HELO without a domain it throws such an error. If I try a HELO with an
invalid domain it responds OK but with my correct IP address and domain.

So the problem is that KMail in its session with the SMTP server is NOT
providing a domain in the HELO transaction. I know this is not a problem
with Kmail in general because Kmail works fine on my FreeBSD box with
otherwise the same situation (through a NAT router via broadband). I suspect
there is something wrong with the Kmail port to OSX via fink.

Any advice would be warmly appreciated!

Regards,

   ...Robert
