Damn, I was also having problems with this. I'm too busy on two other projects to take on a third. :-(

This raises a very good question, what to do when a maintainer goes "missing"?

Yes, this package is broken and has been for quite a while. Did you try to contact the maintainer? I don't know if he is still around.

Here is what I wrote on the same subject 2 months ago to someone who had sent a more complete build log (it's the same error you are seeing):

"It is this -DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED that makes that the symbols are undefined. This should not be there, at least not with the version of gtk+2 that we have right now."

"I agree with you that this package is rotten and should be updated. It Source field points into empty space, too."


I don't personally have the time to correct this, I have already spent too much time on it. I am CCing this to gnome-core, so maybe someone with more time will start feeling responsible. It was already mentioned on the fink-devel list, but without result.
