Hello everyone,
I just downloaded and installed fink last night, launched fink commander,
installed octave, and everything worked.
Then I tried installing gnumeric this morning. I got the following error:
Reading Package Lists...
Building Dependency Tree...
Sorry, gnumeric is already the newest version.
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.
1 packages not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B of archives. After unpacking 0B will be used.
Setting up gnumeric (1.2.12-12) ...
/sw/var/lib/dpkg/info/gnumeric.postinst: line 7: scrollkeeper-update: command
not found
dpkg: error processing gnumeric (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127
Errors were encountered while processing:
gnumeric
E: Sub-process /sw/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
It doesn't look like anything was downloaded. The postinst script error is
probably a result of this.
How should I approach solving this problem, i.e. what should I try first?
Thanks! Tom
Looks like a missing dependency. Install the scrollkeeper package. -- Alexander Hansen Fink Documentarian [Day Job] Levitated Dipole Experiment http://www.psfc.mit.edu/LDX
