I'm trying to deploy the svn-client v1.1. I've followed the instructions on the FAQ list to move to unstable. I can build svn (server shared libs) for version 1.1 but the client seems to be only for version 1.0.
As you can see from the package database at:
<http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/svn-client-ssl>
the svn client is at version 1.1.3 in unstable and at version 1.1.2 in the stable tree. So, even if you don't enable unstable, you should be able to get at least version 1.1.2.
Is there a way that I can just grab the corresponding deb file for svn-client 1.1 and build it? I'd like to build it and then submit it back to unstable.
I am not sure what you mean here.
Anyway, to solve your problem: Try to 'fink selfupdate-rsync' and then do a 'fink install svn-client-ssl' (or 'fink install svn-client' if you don't want ssl) and see if it works.
If it doesn't we need more information about your system: e.g. Mac OS X version ('sw_vers'), fink version ('fink --version'), the output from 'fink list svn' etc.
Hope this helps, Chris.
