Fink is the last resort where SQLite3 has not surfaced, yet. Is there a real reason for this (technical, otherwise?) or.. is it just not so important?
SQLite3 is a more efficient, new version of SQLite. It is designed to co-exist peacefully with old SQLite, so I see no real reason why Fink shouldn't have it.
Anyone else interested / using it?
I already have a Fink package made for SQLite 3, I sent it to the maintainer of SQLite 2 about a month ago and asked him if he wanted to manage it. Since he hasn't responded, and there's a need for this package, I'll commit it to CVS now.
Sorry it took so long!
