Looking through the errors below, I see lots of KDE messages,
but nothing about X11.  Are you certain X11 is crashing, or just
the KDE environment?  If you return your .xinitrc to something
very simple (like 'exec quartz-wm'), does it start OK?  If it
does, you can probably try adding back things in small pieces,
if that's possible with KDE, to see what's causing the problem.
