Martin, while I can certainly not exclude the
possibillity of HD corruption, I have managed to get
scribus going: freetype2 was not completely up-to-date
(2.1.3-21, now 2.1.3-22). After dealing with that,
scribus compiled successfully (although it seemed to
generate quite a number of error messages along the
way) and I have Scribus now running on X11. I'll let
you know if I have more trouble. Thanks!
