If you mean packages that are in Fink but not installed on your system, this is being worked on. Right now the best way is to ask on the list and somebody who has the file can let you know where it lives.


In this case, according to my system, the file was installed by tetex-texmf

If you mean your installed packages, dpkg -S seminar.cls will give you the information. Note that it's possible for dpkg -S to show files that don't actually exist on your system--it just knows about what it installed, and not what's been manually changed.
