gv was running file untill I decided to upgrade gv to 3.6.1. Now, whenever I start gv, I get this message in a background window:
Warning: Could not allocate backing pixmap in main window.
and the main window does not open the file at all. I searched online for this message, and got a link (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=88691) that said maybe the resolution has been changed and can be checked by running the following command. Indeed,
prompt> xdpyinfo | grep "resolution" resolution: 2147483647x2147483647 dots per inch
However, the webpage asked me to edit /etc/X11/XF86Config, which doesnt exist on my mac.
Can someone help me? Thanks!
Veera.
Veera: Try 'gv --nopixmap'. Is you mac low on memory?
