I checked, and I am in fact missing: /usr/X11R6/include/freetype2

Which version of X11 do you have installed? If it's Apple's X11, you need to reinstall the X11SDK.pkg from the Xcode tools disk. If it is some other version of xfree86 or x.org X11, reinstall it.
