This is the identical error that I got this morning (see fink-beginners list).
I think the bigger question for both of us is WHY is it trying to install this package when net-snmp-ssl is already installed? (It is on my machine, yours Mike?)
If I had to guess, it's because he's using "bundle-kde" (ie, the non-SSL version of KDE) rather than "bundle-kde-ssl". It used to depend on net-snmp or net-snmp-ssl, but now kdeutils3 is split into an ssl and non-ssl version, so the ssl one uses net-snmp-ssl, and the non-ssl uses net-snmp.
