Searching indicates that there is an /sw/src/apr-ssl-0.9.5-18/htpd-2.0.52/srclib/apr-util/ldap directory if that is the one referred to. If anyone has an idea what I should do please email me or the list. Thanks.

nope--that's a residual build tree.
If you don't have openldap-ssl-dev, try installing that (it may be a missing BuildDepend).

I did not have openldap-ssl-dev installed, so I installed it, did a fink selfupdate, and tried to install apr-ssl again. However, I got the same result as before! I checked the depends and all the others are installed with latest version numbers in the unstable branch. The openldap-ssl-dev was a good guess, but apparently it was not the only problem. Got any other ideas?

Up to this point I have not had any trouble installing the kdelibs3-ssl, kdebase3-ssl, kdegraphics3, kdeedu3, kdenetwork3, kdetoys3, and kdeartwork3 packages. I will try to install the other packages and hope someone comes up with an idea about this one.
