I tried a fink self-update and it cannot complete because of a problem with fondu. The error message is as follows:
Reading package info...
Updating package index... done.
Failed: A package name is not allowed to have the same version-revision but different epochs: fondu-030428-1
epoch 1 fink virtual or dpkg status
epoch 0
I get the same error when I try other commands such as fink purge fondu fink list -i
I tried searching for what epochs were but couldn't find anything. I also looked in the list archives and didn't find this problem mentioned.
I am running Mac OS 10.2.8; fink gcc3-10.2 unstable. I don't remember when I had previously updated fink, but the first selfupdate I ran last week did cause files to be downloaded so something changed. Any help would be appreciated.
