Since I announded already some 6 weeks ago "A revised version of jadetex is imminent", but the maintainer has not responded, I have now checked a fixed version into CVS (jadetex-3.13-21). Please test if this fixes your problem.

thanks a lot for addressing this issue. At first glance, at least the installation seems to be working fine. However, the issue that blocked my resolving this myself was in TeTeX 3, it seems to be impossible to tell fmtutil about the new format. Indeed, from the installation logs I got, it seems that the calls to fmtutil in the PostInstall / PreRm still don't know anything about jadetex. I'm not 100% about the consequences of this, but I thought (without recalling specific details) that this still led to problems using jadetex.fmt down the line.
