After reading about gnome-libs-dev-1.4.2-52 from Martin Costabel and rereading my above notes, I tried:
fink selfupdate rm /support fink install gnome-libs-dev fink rebuild gal21 (fails with /support/libgnomesupport.la error), so: ln -s /sw/lib /support fink rebuild gal21 fink reinstall gal21 fink install gnucash And still fails with same error... I think it may actually build on a fresh install now, thought. I don't think it is coincidence that gnucash fails on gal, which is where I was monkeying around with stuff before.. Best (fastest) course of action? Start from scratch again paying attention to my notes? How can I fix just what depends on gnome-libs-dev?
