Hi everybody,
I finally managed to get gnucash to compile thanks to the information
I gleaned from the list.
I'm now trying to build the build-documentation, so I copied the
gnucash tarball from /sw/src and ran configure.
It breaks with:
checking for library containing gettext... no
configure: error: Cannot find gettext -- do you need to build -lintl?
I have gettext-dev installed at the newest version. A quick check shows:
$ ls /sw/lib/libintl* /sw/include/libintl*
/sw/include/libintl.h /sw/lib/libintl.3.4.1.dylib /sw/
lib/libintl.dylib
/sw/lib/libintl.1.0.1.dylib /sw/lib/libintl.3.dylib /sw/
lib/libintl.la
/sw/lib/libintl.1.dylib /sw/lib/libintl.a
Also, ./configure --help shows this:
--with-libintl-prefix[=DIR] search for libintl in DIR/include and
DIR/lib
However: ./configure --with-libintl-prefix=/sw still breaks.
I'm at a loss, anybody know what's going on here?
