I set up a fresh install of Fink on 10.4.1 yesterday, with the goal of getting Gnucash running. It seemed to go OK through all the dependencies (modulo the issues with db3/db43 noted on this list earlier), but eventually the gnucash build failed with the following messages:

piling gnucash-1.8.11-21 failed

After looking through list archives, I decided to try installingguile16-dev, and then trying gnucash again. It worked, and gnucash seems to be running normally now.

Given gnucash's extensive dependencies, I really don't know where this might have come in, but if nothing else I thought I'd get this into the list archive. For what it's worth I started with the Fink 0.7.1 binary installer, and when it was done I used selfupdate and update-all (and I guess probably scanpackages) to get things up to date before attempting gnucash.
