It's not in this case, 'cause the origine of the soft link, c++filt,
itself
is missing. If you made link as above, c++filt3 would link to nothing.

I do not know why but I have experienced missing c++filt on one of
mac upgraded from Panther to Tiger.
Reinstalling the bsd sub-package solved the problem. This might be
a simple and practical solution.
