Hi,

I think this behaviour is caused by the fact that some packages need
gettext installed when they are compiled, and others need libgettext3,
but think is unable to deal with this itself.
However, if you try to install a package that needs libgettext3 while
gettext is installed, it will automatically remove gettext and install
the other (and vice versa).
So what you should do is not install gettext or libgettext3 yourself
when the build stop, but run 'fink update-all again'. Fink will then
install automatically the package needed for this step of the build.
I think you will need to run 'fink update-all' several times, but
that it will eventually finish.
