Can't reproduce this on my 10.3.9 system with either python 2.3 or 2.4.
Jeff, it seems that Dave chose a too simple fix for a gcc-4.0 compile problem on 10.4 - the same fix that the debian people first chose, too. I have now checked a different patch for python23.info and python23.patch into 10.4-transitional/unstable. It is the same as the one proposed in the debian bug report, and the same that is already present in python24: Replace all "history_length" by "_history_length" in Modules/readline.c.
So on 10.4, an update to python23-2.3.5-13 should solve this problem. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
