Indeed, it's true. The 10.4.2 update fixed both problems that I was
experiencing: Gnucash launches fine now, and i managed install Gtk+2
in order to update my new Gnome components. Thank you to everyone for
your help.
Purely out of curiosity, what does "--funroll-loops" mean during
compilation?
