thanks for putting all the pieces together! With the single-line change
in the .info file, everything built and installed. So I didn't need to
use Derek's deb files... but thanks for the work anyway. I tested some
things, in particular TeX fonts in the figure labels, and mouse
interactivity in the plot widows. Everything seems to work fine.
To be precise, I rebuilt and re-installed matplotlib-py23.
As for the "theme" warnings, I got that too, after I removed the fink
package "default-icon-theme"... but the plots look exactly the same.
Those warnings are annoying, so I'm keeping
default-icon-theme installed.
