So I think we'll have to settle for different files, and just use
"SetCC: gcc-3.3"
_ SetCC does do what it should in this build _ .
(I also don't want to have to study this setup.py).
Can't really test it, since I would more than probably get linking errors
with the dependencies. You deal with it, Martin ?
