I don't understand the solution either, but it's fixed in newer versions of libtool (hence the new vte in undstable, which uses the new libtool, doesn't need it). > In addition, the pango1-xft2 package version 1.8.1-3 in > 10.4-transitional/unstable already has this fix included, so if this is > the one you installed, it shouldn't have happened; there is, however, > the same version in 10.3/unstable which doesn't have the fix. > In short, a terrible mess... Yuck. The thought at the time was that this patch only affected compiling of the package to which it was applied, and did not propagate any runtime difference. If someone with 10.3 could verify that this patch doesn't cause trouble there, we can copy the patch to 10.3 and rev-up both to make everything work easily. dan -- Daniel Macks [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.netspace.org/~dmacks ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
