I think, the last resort is what is needed here (CCed). This thing doesn't build on Tiger. The -ssl variant is older, but it has a fix for this kind of problem, so maybe you want to install that one.

On the other hand, Tiger already comes with net-snmp version 5.2.1, so perhaps the solution would be to scrap all Fink net-snmp packages. Or is there a reason to want one?

Is Tiger's net-snmp version 5.2.1 an SSL version?
