Hi all,I've noticed that Fink's maxima hasn't changed since a long time. In the meanwhile Maxima has undergone a couple of major update. So I've adapted the original .info file to make it working with the new upstream version. I've modified it in order to depend on clisp (2.35, the ad-hoc package clisp-maxima seems not needed anymore), and I've updated it depends to automake1.7. I attach the resulting file.
Finally I've performed a make check run (during the building phase) and maxima has passed all tests. This sounds good! The attached maxima-check.log file contains the output. I've also validated both the .info file and the resulting .deb package successfully.
I emailed the maintainer last week, but I've not received any answer since then. I've also seen an open discussion on the package tracker, but it seems inactive. However I've not experienced any of the problems reported there. My maxima package build like a charm, pass all the tests, and after a couple of week of use seems to work flawlessly.
HTH, Andrea
