According to the OOo web site, NeoOffice/J is based on OOo 1.1.4. I just noticed that openoffice.org now has a development build of 2.0 available for OS X. I've just downloaded it to check it out and so far it looks pretty nice. After just a few minutes of nosing around it there seem to be some nice improvements in integration with the regular Aqua environment, and 2.0 seems a bit snappier than 1.1.2. I've been using the 'official' 1.1.2 OOo build because a) I don't have the disk space or the time required to build it with fink (I'm on an older 700MHz G3 iBook with a 20GB hard disk and only about 2GB of that free) and b) I don't need to use OOo all that often and then only to open M$ Office docs created by other people, so 1.1.2 has been adequate for my modest needs. -- Christopher Bort <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <http://www.thehundredacre.net/> ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
