The fact that it looks for this directory shows that you have some parts of octave-2.1.71 installed, but the fact that this directory does not exist shows that some other parts of octave-2.1.71 are not installed.

So I would suggest that you reinstall your octave package.


Yes, rebuilding octave and octave-forge worked. I have them both installed and, using the sample lines that Viv referenced earlier this week, was able to generate a plot in aquaterm (on both 10.3 and 10.4 now). Thanks!
