Yes, that's what I am using too, in order to make my backup scripts work
again. You just have to keep in mind that it doesn't copy resource
forks, so it's probably best to remove it once Apple fixes theirs.

Presumably, shouldn't the source be available for Apple's version of rsync? It is GPL'd after all. It's probably beyond my skills to obtain the code and build a fink package, but I'd assume it could be done. In that way, at least the previous (working) version of Apple's rsync would be available.

Just another thought. . .
