Hi Folks,
gnucash 1.8.11 on a macintel compiles flawlessly but as soon as I
start it up I am getting a "bus error". It is just right after the
first windows of gnucash came up.

First I did not get and crash log cause iPLM Bundel (PPC) in
~/Library/InputManager/iPLM got an error code 2. I just deleted this
Bundle (it is from iPhoto Library Manager btw.) and now do have
crashlog which I copy here ..

I did some talks on irc but just to realize that I was the first to
compile gnucash.

Here is the crashlog. Interessting is that guile-1.6 produced the crashlog.

The gnucash command is just a script that launches guile, and then runs gnucash. Gnucash 2 will get rid of some of that 'shell' style behavior.

My guess is that you're stuck for the moment. There is absolutely no chance that the gnucash developers will even look at this one. Work to get Gnucash 2 out the door is fast and furious, so they aren't doing anything at all with the 1.8 branch.
