The thing that is crashing here is /usr/bin/perl.
I think the consensus emerging from previous sightings of this error
was that it's a bug in Apple's Panther perl. I don't know what kind of
error, but in any case the only (slightly 'voodoo'-esque) recommended
remedy was to install one of Fink's perl packages.
Any recommendations of which version to install?
