I think an automated way out of this mess is in the works. If you don't 
want to wait, you have to change cvs.sourceforge.net to 
fink.cvs.sourceforge.net wherever you can find it.

In the "f2c problem" thread on this list you can find another way how to 
switch to the new cvs server (in short: switch to selfupdate-rsync, fix 
some files, and switch back to selfudate-cvs).
