Hello,

recently I've upgraded to 10.4 and reinstalled Fink. Also the Apache
version has changed during the last days and I chose to use the new
default configuration files instead of keeping my old ones. Now the
preferred way to configure Apache seems to be several little
configuration files instead of one big. But the Apache documentation
doesn't write anything about that (at least nothing I could find).

So the first problem I got stuck with is to set the document root. I
only found entries with
"DocumentRoot" in a VirtualHost directive in
/sw/etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default which links to
../sites-available/default. But changing it doesn't change the document
root and besides I don't need virtual servers. I also tried
'DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/Documents"' in this file and in
httpd.conf but both don't work.

So how does this new configuration system work and why isn't there
anything about it in the Apache documentation which still says that
httpd.conf is the file for configuration?

Jens
