My understanding is that with the following error, I should repeat fink 
selfupdate until I find a happy mirror. This morning I'm not finding a 
happy mirror, their timestamps are older than the one I already have.

Is this something we can 'kick' to get it moving again?

The timestamp of the server is older than what you already have.
