I have the same problem on 2 different machines, where avidemux built
correctly
before (Xcode 2.4, and no longer does).
The same difficulty arose with the pkg transcode, there I could fix
it by zapping
(cf the last command in the patchscript)
the following lines in src/transcode.h :

     81 // Uglyness from libavcodec - common.h
82 // Don't use these except when your code won't work without it,
83 // and there is no alternative.
     84
     85 #ifndef always_inline
     86  #if defined(__GNUC__) && (__GNUC__ > 3 || __GNUC__ == 3 &&
__GNUC_MINOR__ > 0)
     87 # define always_inline __attribute__((always_inline)) inline
     88 #else
     89 # define always_inline inline
     90 #endif
     91 #endif

Here, the same lines occur in adm_lavcodec/common.h _ ad cause the
problem _,
but it doesn't suffice to zap them...
Had no time to look more into it....
