Hello,

somehow I still don't get along with this new modular configuration,
because it's not documented at all. The only sentence that's written
about it is in httpd.conf:

# This is here for backwards compatability reasons and to support
# installing 3rd party modules directly via apxs2, rather than
# through the /etc/apache2/mods-{available,enabled} mechanism.

That's all, or did I miss something somewhere? All the documentaion is
about the traditional set-up. So where does this new system come from? I
saw something like this in Debian. Anyway, whoever changed it, should
document it! What I found out is that if you install a module like PHP
with fink, in mods-enabled respective links to the configuration files
in mods-available are created.

But how do I enable SSL? I managed to enable it with the old Apache with
the monolithic configuration, but with the new set-up. ssl.config is not
even parsed when starting with "apache2ctl startssl". If you force it
being parsed with "/sw/sbin/apache2 -f /sw/etc/apache2/ssl.conf" Apache
complains, for it doesn't know the SSL commands.
