Did you reinstall after rebuilding? I had the SVN::Core problem recently, and fink rebuild svn-shlibs fink reinstall svn-shlibs fink rebuild svn-swig-pm586 fink reinstall svn-swig-pm586 allowed me to install svk successfully. (Don't know if it works yet, but the svn-simple problem is definitely gone.
