My latest update of svn died at package-installation time
(the build went without a hitch):
--------------->8 snip 8<---------------
[macmac:~] fang% fink update svn
Information about 6942 packages read in 3 seconds.
The following package will be installed or updated:
svn
The following additional package will be installed:
svn-shlibs

Reading buildlock packages...
Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies!
Fink isn't sure how to install the above packages safely. You may be able
to fix things by running:
fink scanpackages
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install svn=1.4.3-12 svn-shlibs=1.4.3-12
Failed: Fink::SysState: Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies
--------------->8 snip 8<---------------
but then I noticed that I still had the obsolete svn-ssl package
installed.
i svn-ssl 1.4.3-11 OBSOLETE use svn instead
Removing that allowed me to install the built svn{,-shlibs}.
Problem solved, just thought I'd share.
My only wish is that the error message hinted some problem in the chain of
dependencies.
