Hi,
I just discovered that "fink list -o" spawns off a CPU-hogging
(non-terminating) loop running gcc-3.3, and hangs without printing
anything. pstree shows:
| \-+= 15372 fang -tcsh
| \-+= 27399 fang /usr/bin/perl -w /sw/bin/fink list -o
| \--- 27412 fang /usr/bin/gcc-3.3 -### -v -x c /dev/null
top shows gcc-3.3 running over 98% CPU for minutes.
% fink --version
Package manager version: 0.27.1
Distribution version: 0.8.1.cvs powerpc
This is occuring on my powerpc-darwin8 box. I don't think fink-base/core
was updated recently, and the only thing I did was update my Xcode from
2.4 to 2.4.1 last week. (Why does fink invoke gcc-3.3, anyways?) Any
idea what's causing this? any debugging tips? fix?
