I appreciate apple's NDA. I wasn't looking for any apple specific solution to this problem, rather some fink-specific hack, such as a way to update the dpkg database to make fink believe that system-xfree86 is installed. If you're telling me that's "impossible," that's one thing, but if you're telling me that messing with the 10.4 fink dpkg files somehow viloates apples NDA, I don't believe you.
