Hello Fink Users, I´am working for an Apple-Premium-Reseller as an Techniken (ACT). So i must Update to Leopard on Friday. For Diagnostics reasons i need the Fink-Packet-Managment on my lovely Powerbook 12"! First Time i startet up the "Cat" an type Fink in the Bash he tells me "Command not found!" . I checked the Paths and has no Chanche. Then i download and bootstraped the source, and Fink was already to run.
I installed nmap dsniff arpwatch and ettercap to test the newly installed Fink, and all was fine! Because it was an Update from Tiger to Leopard, and on my Tiger install i had a bunch off third party and open source tools beside of many many other 10.4 Software. In my Case the System Crashed with Kernel-Panics (16 in 2 Days!!!)! The Day after this Kernel-Panic-Season i Backuped the Disk and formated it wirh writing Zeros on the free Space and then i installed it cleanly! After that i installed Xcode3.0 and other Tools and at last i bootstraped Fink a second Time. Nmap dsniff was quickly installed but i had no Chance to install ettercap, he gives me an error at the End of the Buildtime that I will Post next Time when i test ist to get it work for the third-time. I´ am dont understand what was going wrong after the clean install, but i was able to build it the at the first time! So please when you make it work please tell me what you have figured out to make it work. -I cant build it from cvs & rsync! -I was not able to build it from the source that i loaded for ettercaps projekt-site!
