I have installed gcc42 using fink on Mac OS 10.5. Since g77 is no
longer supported I was hoping to use this for compiling Fortran.

However, after apparently installing everything successfully, I am
getting the following error messages:

Macintosh:~ wharton$ gcc junk.f
1686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1: junk.f : Fortran compiler not installed on
this system

Also attempts to start a Fortran compiler using the command gfortran
have returned a 'command not found' error.

Does anyone have advice on what the problem is here, and how to get
gcc's Fortran compiler to work?

Thanks,
Wharton Sinkler
