I tried to update kbibtex on Leopard which failed apparently due to not being able to find lib file sw/lib/qt3/libqt-mt.3.3.8.dylib. Following is build log:

checking for perl... /usr/bin/perl
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0 and < 4.0) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

I compiled this on an ibook G4 under Leopard. I installed Leopard on this machine by archive and install, I have not had any trouble with this install. Here is rest of my kit:

Package manager version: 0.27.7-41
Distribution version: 0.8.1.rsync powerpc
powerpc-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1 (GCC) 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5465)
XTools3.0
Apples X11 wm
