Changing my mirror seems to have fixed things. I remember feeling like I had a good reason for choosing that mirror at the time, but I guess I should have stuck with the defaults. I assumed that all the mirrors would be up to date so didn't try a different one when I ran into trouble. Now I know better. Thanks again for your help.
