Eradicating LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader from /Library/InputManagers solved the gnuplot/Aquaterm problem. Looking at Aquaterm's code, the error message was an indication that somehow the protocol or application identifier in the client- server communication, but what could be messing with it??? I had tried plenty of other things before desperatly grep-ing aquaterm through the whole of /Library and noticing that log. Logitech, you make great mice, but your drivers are awful!
